LIP BLUSH | THE TATTOO
YOU NEVER KNEW YOU NEEDED
Lip tattooing (also known as lip blush, lip tint tattoo, or lip neutralisation) is a semi-permanent makeup treatment designed to enhance the natural shape and colour of your lips. It helps correct uneven tone, restore lost definition, and achieve a more youthful, fresh appearance without daily lipstick.
1. Lip Blush $450
A soft wash of colour that enhances your natural lip tone and defines your lip border for a fuller, more polished look.
2. Lip Neutralisation $450
A specialised treatment for clients with darker or uneven lip tones. We correct and balance the undertones before layering desired colours.
To prepare for your treatment and achieve the best results, please follow these steps:
Stay hydrated and arrive with clean, makeup-free lips.
Swelling & Tenderness: Mild swelling is normal and usually settles within 24–48 hours. Lips may feel tight or sensitive.
Colour Intensity: Colour will appear darker and more vibrant immediately after the procedure. Expect it to fade by 30–50% as it heals.
Scabbing or Flaking: Light peeling may occur around days 3–5. Do not pick or rub your lips to avoid uneven healing.
Moisturise: Apply a thin layer of Vaseline 2–3 times per day for 7 days to keep lips protected and hydrated.
Keep Clean: After eating, rinse your lips with clean water and pat dry gently with a tissue to avoid bacteria.
Cold Sore Prevention: If you’re prone to cold sores, continue taking your antiviral medication as directed for several days post-procedure to prevent outbreaks.
Healing Time: Surface healing takes 5–7 days; full results appear after 4–6 weeks.
A follow-up session is recommended at 6–8 weeks to perfect colour and shape and it’s $150.
If you return after 2 months, touch-up pricing will vary depending on how long you’ve waited and how much pigment has faded.
For safety reasons, lip tattooing is not recommended during pregnancy.
Although the procedure is generally safe, it involves the use of pigments, topical numbing agents, and a healing process that may include medications (such as antivirals for cold sore prevention). There is not enough research to guarantee that these elements are 100% safe for you and your baby during pregnancy.
We recommend waiting until after childbirth and once breastfeeding has ceased before booking your lip tattoo appointment.
